Photo of the week – Rest In Peace, Nelson Mandela

Today is indeed a sad day for South Africa. We woke up to the tragic news that we have lost the most inspirational South African who ever lived – a man who touched the lives of millions around the world.

In my travels across the globe, when I tell people that I am from South Africa, the first thing they usually respond with is “Ah, Mandela”.  In the Middle East one day, my husband was struggling to explain to a non-English speaking Arab that he was from South Africa – until he mentioned Mandela. The man then knew instantly where he was from. Nelson Mandela was synonymous with South Africa, humility and forgiveness. He made us a proud nation!

Rest in Peace, Nelson Mandela. You will truly be missed.

Yes Sara , a sad day indeed. Let our always remember his legacy:
A man who dedicated his life for us, for our country.
A man of courage, humility and profound commitment to democracy, who led a life of sacrifice and great achievement.
