Beautiful Natural Costa Rican Landmarks You Won’t Want to Miss

Costa Rica is a country that is known all over the world for its incredible and breathtaking natural beauty, so it is no surprise that people go there in the hopes of seeing the nation’s natural landmarks in person. To make the process of booking your itinerary easier, check out the list below of some of the most beautiful natural Costa Rican landmarks that you will not want to miss.

Manuel Antonio Beach

No list of Costa Rican natural landmarks would be complete without mentioning at least one beach, and Manuel Antonio is one of the first beach destinations in the country to have become extremely popular among tourists. It is definitely a charming spot, but expect crowds to be there most of the time. Explore the beaches that are located within this national park, as they are really incredible. You can learn more about its beaches at Villa Punto de Vista.

Arenal Volcano

Even though many people think of the best beaches in Costa Rica when they are planning their trip, don’t forget that there is a lot more to do and see than simply lounge on a beach. In fact, one of the most popular natural features in all of Costa Rica is the magnificent Arenal Volcano, which is also the most active volcano in the country. Even though this volcano is actually still considered a threat, thanks to its occasional eruptions that range from small to large, tourists flock to it in order to see it and take photos of it. Plus, the hot springs nearby are perfect for bathing in nature’s waters, and you can even enjoy hiking and white water rafting during your trip.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve

Located on top of the country’s continental divide, yet another incredible natural landmark in Costa Rica is the Monteverde Cloud Forest, which sits at 4,600 feet above sea level. This forest is always covered with amazing clouds and plenty of moisture that creates a lush and vibrantly green landscape. There are over 100 mammals that call the forest home, along with 400 species of birds and thousands of insects. While there, you can hike, go horseback riding, go on thrilling zip lines, and take a tour.

Corcovado National Park

Tourists who enjoy outdoor adventures during their vacations will not be disappointed by Corcovado National Park, which is perfect for a backpacking adventure that you will never forget. There, you will find the only old growth wet forests that remain on the Pacific Coast of Central America. You can also hike through a whopping 13 ecosystems that include beaches and waterfalls. And you can even pass through mangroves and rainforests while making it a point to follow the trails as you try to spot some of the many diverse species of wildlife that live there.

With so many unforgettable natural landmarks throughout Costa Rica, this is definitely the ideal vacation destination for anyone who loves spending time in the great outdoors and appreciating all that Mother Nature has to offer.
