1. Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am Priyadarshini Rajendran a travel, food and books blogger at Glorious Sunrise . I am a passionate globetrotter and travel with my husband and two young children all around the world. I am currently living in Fremont and traveling around California regularly.

2. What is your earliest travel memory?

I love the memories of my first picnic at age 7, in a mango farm near our hometown. My mom packed goodies in a basket, a blanket and ball. We had a whale of a time with those simple pleasures!

3. Where was the last place you travelled to?

Monterey, California

4. What was the best thing you did there?

Enjoyed playing ball in the gorgeous Lovers Point Park and Beach.

5. What was your best holiday ever? Why?

My best holiday was a week in Sydney and Melbourne with my husband on our honeymoon. We fell in love with Australia’s beauty.

6. What is your favourite travel destination?

Sydney

7. What must one do there?

There is so much to do in Sydney. Just chill out at the Darling Harbor, watch a cool movie at the world’s largest Imax, and have super yum food. Go hike the awesome trails at the Royal National Park, and enjoy a sunset cruise on the Parammatta River. Visit the iconic Opera House, enjoy a stroll across the Harbour Bridge and relax at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

8. Who is your favourite travel companion/s?

My husband, Ashok.

9. Name one item you must have when travelling.

Wet wipes

10. Your best travel advice?

Enjoy a place at a leisurely pace. Don’t miss out on the beauty of traveling by rushing from one place to another.

11. The one place you want to visit before you die?

Ireland

12. Any embarrassing travel moments?

When I booked a train ticket to the wrong city and realised it as I was boarding the train! Oops!
