I created the “Travellers’ Tales” section to give other travellers an opportunity to talk about their travels on my blog. Today I would like to introduce you to Bruna, a Brazilian travel blogger. She blogs at I Heart Brazil.
I would love to hear about your travels too. Go to “Travellers’ Tales” , fill in the quick questionnaire and email it to me with your blog links.
I’m a Brazilian writer blogging about…Brazil! Ta-da! At I Heart Brazil, I blog about travel tips, traditions, culture, and food. All things Brazil related. After traveling around the world for years, I realized how little people know about such a massive country that is rich in so many aspects. I had been blogging for years before creating this website, so I know exactly how to show the offbeat side of Brazil to travelers out there. I’m passionate about my country and I hope to inspire more people to visit and fall in love with it too. Oh, I’m also into hearty food, photographing, and all things pepper.
My mom and I went on a trip to the state where she was born in Brazil, Minas Gerais. I think I was 11 or 12 at the time. And for me, a very important way of getting to know a region has always been by trying the local food.
We had some local cheese and homemade dulce de leche together. It’s a good memory we have! It’s a shame we didn’t take photos back then.
Mallorca, Spain. My husband and I went on a much-deserved vacation to an all-inclusive hotel and did nothing but sunbathed by the swimming pool or the incredibly blue Mediterranean Sea.
Well, it was simply doing nothing. Our routines are chaotic back home, and I often work 60 hours/week. So doing nothing was by far the best thing we did in Mallorca.
It’s difficult to say. I had a great time in Morro de São Paulo, Brazil, with my family. The place is a paradise and the weather was perfect.
But I also loved a trip I did to Dublin. The whole city is a unique experience and I particularly enjoyed the pubs there.
Oh, and of course, the Cliffs of Moher were mind-blowing to me. They’re so beautiful!
In Europe? Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In Brazil? Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais.
In Amsterdam, one must visit the Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House. Also, go on a boat tour to see the narrow and crooked houses of Amsterdam.
In Ouro Preto, one must stroll through the cobblestone streets of this colonial town and appreciate the architecture. The town’s church is really pretty and the food in town is simply out of this world.
My lovely husband!
My camera. I love taking pictures of…everything.
While traveling, be alert at all moments, but not paranoid. There are always shady people around the world waiting for tourists to let their guard down.
However, if you just pay attention to your surroundings, and read up on common travel scams for that region, you should be fine.
Ok, I’d love to visit three places before I die, not only one.
First, I’d love to visit the Amazon Rainforest. It’s so far away from Rio de Janeiro, so I’ve never made it there.
Then, I’d LOVE to visit Tromso in the winter and enjoy the local atmosphere in the town’s best season.
Last but not least, I’d like to spend some quality time in Samoa, swimming in the island’s natural pools filled with vibrant-blue water.
If you’re planning a trip to Brazil, you can always find me at the blog with lots of local tips for you.
Also, I have a Facebook group that is often updated with tips and advice about Brazil.
But as a good old blogger, you can find me on Instagram and Pinterest too.
Thank you, Bruna , for sharing your fascinating adventures with us!
