I created the “Travellers’ Tales” section to give other travellers an opportunity to talk about their travels. Today I would like to introduce you to Kelly and Dwayne, travel bloggers from Australia and New Zealand. They describe themselves as intrepid sailors, perpetual travellers, bold explorers and lovers of food. They blog at Trippin Turpins .
I would love to hear about your travels too. Go to “Travellers’ Tales” , fill in the quick questionnaire and email it to me with your blog links.
Read about Kelly and Dwayne’s travels here,
We are from Australia and New Zealand. In May 2014 we sold almost everything we owned and moved aboard “Thorfinn" our 45 foot yacht. Leaving South Australia, we have sailed up the East Coast of Australia, through Indonesia, to Malaysia and Thailand. By land we have visited Singapore, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and of course Australia and New Zealand (since we began this journey).
Kelly - My first trip back to New Zealand to visit family when I was six years old.
Dwayne - Camping in the Coorong National Park when I was five years old.
We are currently visiting Napier in New Zealand - Art Deco capital of the world and a beautiful seaside town.
The Art Deco Festival was absolutely fabulous. The street art and nearby forest trekking also deserves a mention!
In 2004, we packed up the four wheel drive, hooked on the fishing boat and travelled around Australia. For a year, we lived in a tent. This was an amazing year. We saw so much of Australia and met some awesome people!
That is a tough one. We have loved every place we have visited for one reason or another. Cruising (with our yacht) though Indonesia was unreal and we really love Bali - so we will say Indonesia.
Visit the orang-utan in Borneo!
Each other!
A camera - we love the memories we can capture with it!
Travel whenever you can. Don’t put it off until it is too late. The world is an amazing place - go out and explore.
We would love to visit Victoria Falls!
