Travellers’ Tales – Meet Tereza from Czick On The Road

Meet Tereza from Czick On The Road

I created the “Travellers’ Tales” section to give other travellers an opportunity to talk about their travels. Today I would like to introduce you to Tereza, a travel blogger based in Slovenia. She blogs at Czick On The Road.

I would love to hear about your travels too. Go to “Travellers’ Tales, fill in the quick questionnaire and email it to me with your blog links.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am originally from Czechia but have lived for the past 7 years in Slovenia, where I met like-minded people who nourished my love for traveling until I decided to quit my job and go travelling full-time. I love hiking, outdoor activities and a good rum. I write a blog about my travels in nature, in English and Czech.

2. What is your earliest travel memory?

That would be traveling to visit my grandma in our old Skoda car. There were five of us inside and we always had great fun on the road.

3. Where was the last place you travelled to?

I am currently travelling through South America. In the past 4 months I have visited Peru and Bolivia and just arrived in Brazil.

4. What was the best thing you did there?

The absolutely most amazing thing which will stick in my memory forever is climbing a 6088m mountain, Huayna Potosi in Bolivia.

5. What was your best holiday ever? Why?

A girls’ road trip with my sister and a good friend. I can’t wait to get back to Europe to do it again.

6. What is your favourite travel destination?

That is and always will be the Slovenian mountains and the Croatian sea side.

7. What must one do there?

Hiking and lying on the beach.

8. Who is your favourite travel companion/s?

My sister, who is like my best friend, my actual best friend who always drives me to the limit, and my boyfriend who is the most easy going person ever – four months being together 24/7 and there are no problems on the road.

9. Name one item you must have when travelling.

My mobile phone. I would be completely lost without it – literally.

10. The one place you want to visit before you die?

New Zealand and Iceland have been on my travel bucket list since forever. Who knows why I started my year-long journey in South America

11. How can people connect with you?
